We live in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful world, so it’s easy to lose track of things, feel overwhelmed, and burn out.
There are times when all we need a short reprieve—a breather, a chance to meditate.
There are different ways to meditate, but we personally find ourselves practicing Law of Attraction meditation more.
Doing so gives us an opportunity not just to clear our minds but to manifest our life’s goals.
Practicing this isn’t easy, though, especially for beginners. Sometimes, we need the inspiration to pursue it and establish it as a habit.
Fortunately, the book A Monk’s Guide to Happiness by Gelong Thubten offers wonderful insights on this matter.
You can check out a quick audio snippet of its main points over at Blinkist.
The Art of Meditation
Meditation is far from being a new concept. Historically, it can be traced back to 5,000 B.C.E. to Ancient India.
Interest in this sacred art has seen its own share of ups and downs throughout the centuries.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the practice already.
You might have an idea of how it’s done, picturing someone sitting cross-legged, with his eyes closed, and doing breathing exercises.
And you’re not wrong. That is how meditation is usually portrayed.
However, it is also more complex than you may initially think.
There are a variety of other methods to meditate, each one offering a myriad of benefits.
The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health sees meditation as a practice that significantly impacts our minds, bodies, and behavior.
At the very least, it helps in reducing blood pressure, alleviating anxiety, and even overcoming addiction.
What Is the Law of Attraction?
You can dedicate your meditation sessions to specific intents.
The easiest way is by repeating and focusing on a particular statement or “mantra.”
This mantra can be anything from positive affirmations to absolute silence. Some meditation practitioners even consider mantras as being “soundless sounds.”
For this article, we are going to focus on the Law of Attraction meditation.
It is the method of attracting or manifesting your goals through the manipulation of the universe’s energies.
The Law of Attraction is one of the 10 laws of the Universe—a series of rules that reality follows based on physics.
This particular law states that thoughts have the power to manifest themselves and materialize into our reality.
The CMU Journal of Science even published a paper revealing how beneficial the Law of Attraction is.
While there’s still no way to provide concrete evidence on whether or not it’s true, they were still able to conclude that it improves one’s quality of life.
Basically, belief in the Law of Attraction makes people understand happiness better and appreciate the things they have.
The new and refreshing attitude that people get once they learn about the Law of Attraction inspires changes in their lives.
And these changes would then help them on their road to success.
Meditation keeps people focused on these goals, and that act in itself can further empower you towards achievement.
So, whichever way you interpret it, we can be sure of one thing: the Law of Attraction meditation works.
The Other Laws of the Universe
Law of Attraction is not the only Law of the Universe. Here are others:
Law of Divine Unity
The first law states that everything is connected.
Hence, every action that we do will affect everyone else’s in a ripple effect (and vice versa).
Law of Vibration
This law states that everything has a frequency or a vibration.
It is actually connected to the Law of Attraction meditation practice.
Understanding that everything has a specific energy signature allows you to determine the vibration you need to achieve during your meditation sessions to attract your goals.
Law of Correspondence
This law states that there are repeating patterns in the universe that influences our minds, bodies, and behavior.
Law of Inspired Action
This law makes it possible to create actions towards a certain goal and achieve it.
Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
This law states that energies are always in constant activity and evolution.
The smallest vibrations can grow and influence the surrounding environment, much like creating a ripple of effect from a tiny spark of inspiration.
Law of Cause and Effect
One of the most popular laws of the universe, it dictates that for every action, there is an effect.
And that effect will come back to affect you in one way or the other.
Law of Compensation
Much like the previous one, the Law of Compensation states that you will always be compensated for the energies you put out there, regardless if it’s good or bad.
Law of Relativity
This law is closely related to the first one, wherein one entity exists (in truth or perception) in relation to another entity.
Law of Polarity
This law states that everything has its opposite counterpart.
Law of Rhythm
According to this law, everything has a cycle.
You can see it in how the seasons change, how the circle of life works, and how entities live and die.
Law of Gender
This law doesn’t have anything to do with the politics of gender, nor does it intend to limit or discriminate.
It only states that there are two main energies in the universe: the masculine and the feminine.
Law of Attraction Meditation
As mentioned, there are different forms of meditation.
Here are just some of the ways to perform a Law of Attraction meditation:
Most beginners find this method of meditation easy.
After all, it provides you with a statement to focus your frequencies on, which you can repeat verbally or mentally.
There are a lot of inspiring mantras that you can incorporate into your meditation routine.
However, we do find personal mantras to be more effective.
It’s fine to write your own or copy words from others as long as they align with the goals that you want to manifest.
Guided Visualization Meditation
Another easy method for beginners is guided visualization.
It is a type of meditation where you will listen to the visualization and action prompts of a meditation guide.
You’ll find interesting audio and video guides online, even those specifically formulated for Law of Attraction meditation.
Law of Attraction Mindfulness Meditation
Lastly, there’s mindfulness meditation.
You practice it by drawing attention to what you are currently doing and offering your actions as an intention towards your goals.
Doing so will align your energies towards the things that you want to manifest.
The best thing about mastering this technique is that it can eventually teach you to apply it to any activity, whether you’re conscious of it or not.
Book Recommendation: A Monk’s Guide to Happiness
We acknowledge that the techniques we shared didn’t really give you a complete guide to doing each of them independently.
Geelong Thubten provides more detailed meditation guides in his book, A Monk’s Guide to Happiness.
What Is Happiness?
The book begins with Thubten providing a clear definition of real happiness and why we might have been defining it incorrectly all along.
He then discusses how we are hard-wired to be happy and puts his points into the context of the 21st century.
Apparently, happiness is complex, and there are different paths to reach it.
However, the best route remains within us: the quest to find and accept happiness from within, not as a by-product of an external stimulus (like material gain).
Thubten shares various practical methods to meditate, but we really appreciate his techniques to take advantage of our micro-moments during the day.
This allows one to master the art of meditation even amidst a hectic schedule.
Building a Habit
Finally, this book will also contain tips on how to establish a meditation habit.
This is especially helpful for those practicing Law of Attraction meditation that benefits from a regular intention of positive vibrations to manifest goals faster.
